October 29, 2011 at 5:06 PMI totally agree, especially on the procrastrination issue. Nothing can literally cripple your work more than that, but then again, that is entirely up to everyone’s personal responsibility.
As to how to work more quickly, I highly recommend the use of CAT tools and TMs. Typing on those grandpa-age, old typewriters and using liquid paper for correction is thank God history. Using a PC will be determined by the translator’s feel for a specific one, so I recommend that someone starting fresh in our trade picks a real fast one.
